Anthara - Compliance-aware coding agents (Test A)

For engineering teams writing regulated software with AI

Compliance-aware coding agents.

AI code reviewers catch compliance problems after the code is written. Anthara gives the coding agent your HIPAA and PCI-DSS controls before it writes, so fewer problems get written.

Pull request #482

Add retry logging to claims sync

Changes requested
def retry_claim(claim, patient):+ log.info(f"retry {claim.id} for {patient.mrn}") return sync.submit(claim)

AI code reviewer · line 2

This logs a patient identifier (MRN). Patient data can’t go to application logs. Redact before merging.

Found after the code was written. A senior reads it.

Add retry logging to claims sync

Nothing to flag
Control in viewHIPAA · No patient identifiers in application logs
  • Wrap the claim submit in a retry with backoff
  • Log the claim ID only. Patient fields stay out of logs
  • Add a test that log output carries no patient data
def retry_claim(claim, patient):+ log.info("retry", claim_id=claim.id) return sync.submit(claim)

Designed out while planning. Nothing to review for it.

01 - The problem

Pull request reviews have stopped doing their job.

AI tools now write code faster than seniors can read it. Tests pass, but they don’t check whether a change logs a patient ID or sends card data outside PCI scope.

So seniors either read every AI-written change or let some through unread.

02 - How it works

Anthara stops compliance problems before they’re written.

While the agent plans a change, it reads the controls that apply to the files it will touch, so many problems are designed out rather than caught later.

After it writes, Anthara checks the change against the same rules, and the agent fixes what it finds before the pull request opens.

You set your standards once, and Claude Code, Cursor, and Codex all work to them.
